Dave Aftandilian Great followup to _Arcanes_! This has a bit more a space synth feel to me, which suits Cimerion’s Berlin school-inspired style well. Like listening to mysterious transmissions pulsed from a distant galaxy.

Cimerion returns with its second album, 'Contresort'. Recorded entirely with real synthesizers, 'Contresort' brings the listeners into its strange world where analogue frequencies meet reverberating percussions and dark melodies. This recording is inspired by the pioneers of the Berlin School genre, the old black metal scene as well as horror and fantasy cinema.

Cimerion est de retour avec son deuxième album, 'Contresort'. Enregistré entièrement avec des synthétiseurs matériels, 'Contresort' plongera ses auditeurs dans un univers étrange où se mêlent les fréquences analogiques, la réverbération des tambours et des airs sinistres. Une musique inspirée des pionniers Berlin School des 70s, de la vieille scène black métal et du cinéma fantastique.

2024 is starting slow for me: after some catching up, I mainly listened to ambient for the majority of this January. Star Lore is a great addition and discovery, once again being brought to my attention by Ernie Fleetenkieker. Even after having found a favourite track, this album ov enchanting, slightly bemused, wintery ambience is best enjoyed as whole. A great addition to your collection and formidable soundtrack for a secluded stroll through the snowfall. Enchanting from start to finish! David Fischer
