Two longtime allies within the Québec Black Metal scene, Monarque and Moribond, join forces to offer a joint album from their ambient projects. On Arcanes, Cimerion and Oublieth offer a journey filled with atmosphere and emotion, dedicated to two giants of ambient music who recently left us, Klaus Schulze and Vangelis.

Rather than approach this opus in a classic “split album” way, the two collaborators have opted to compose a single soundtrack within which their tracks alternate in a very natural way while keeping their own uniqueness.

Mostly recorded from analog synthesizers, Arcanes sees each group at the top of their game, in an album that will captivate listeners.

Deux alliés de longue date au sein de la scène black québécoise, Monarque et Moribond, joignent leurs forces pour offrir un album conjoint de leurs groupes ambiants. Sur Arcanes, Cimerion et Oublieth proposent un voyage riche en atmosphère et en émotion, dédié à deux géants de la musique ambiante nous ayant récemment quitté, Klaus Schulze et Vangelis.

Plutôt que de favoriser une approche classique du type "album split", les deux projets ont plutôt décidé de ne faire qu'une seule trame sonore au sein de laquelle leurs pièces alternent de façon tout à fait naturelle tout en gardant des particularités propres à chacun d'entre eux.

Enregistré principalement avec du matériel analogique, Arcanes voit les deux groupes donner le meilleur d'eux même, dans un album qui saura captiver ses auditeurs.
